In addition to its service and trading divisions, the Al Amry Group is also involved in large-scale manufacturing and industry. These activities include fishing and seafood processing, and mining and furniture manufacturing.

Mont Blanc Diamond Tool Factory was established in Dubai in 1999 incollaboration with a French technical partner. Mont Blanc makes blades forcutting granite and marble. It is the only company of its kind in the Middle East. Mont Blanc operates out of its own factory in Al Khor Industrial Area in Dubai, making blades of different sizes. The largest blade is 2 meters inlength, made for a company in Saudi Arabia.

Emirates Star Fisheries is also based in Dubai, and conducts most of its operations in Yemen. The Company owns a fishing fleet, catches and stores fish, and markets them in Europe, America, and around the GCC countries.Also in Yemen, Mermaid Fish Trading is a fish storage and trading operation. It buys, stores, processes and markets a wide range of fish from Yemen’s coastal waters.

Deco Primo, in Indonesia, designs and manufactures household and office furniture for the Indonesian and export markets. Some of its products are sold through La Boudoir Gallery and Central Designs.

Safarco runs mining operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s interior. Its interests include gold, diamonds, cobalt and other minerals. In Tanzania, Afro Arabian is another of Al Amry’s mining interests. It operates gold and diamond mines, and trades in scrap metal.
